We sat by the fountain and watched storks for an hour and I didn't check my phone once
My son and I just sat there. Storks nesting on every rooftop. Children running around the fountain, laughing in three languages. The crowds arriving slowly, not yet enough to break the spell. He pointed at a stork and said nothing. I said nothing. We just watched. I thought — this. This is why I moved us here. Not the life I perform. This ordinary extraordinary Tuesday.
